COUNSELING SUPPORT SERVICES
In June 2014, The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland will start partnering with Applewood Centers, Inc to provide mental health counseling services for youth and young adults, ages 14-24.
The Applewood Outpatient Therapy satellite clinic is a program within the LGBT Community Center that provides therapy services for LGBTQ youth. This clinic targets youth with a variety of presenting issues. Weekly individual therapy services will be provided in a confidential office at the LGBT Center. Group therapy services may also be provided when groups of youth with similar presenting concerns are formed.
Counseling will be available from 3:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday evenings at the LGBT Community Center. If you or your child is interested in receiving therapy, please submit a referral form with Center staff or by calling :

Meet the Counselor!
Sarah Tolson, M.S.Ed., PC graduated from Youngstown State University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is licensed as a Professional Counselor (PC) through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Over the past 7 years, Sarah has worked with individuals, couples, and families of all ages who have experienced a wide variety of isues. Sarah has a long history of being an ally and advocate for LGBTQ and their support systems. She has been trained a variety of therapeutic approaches and is committed to providing positive support to all those struggling with LGBTQ issues. Sarah prides herself on her ability to empower individuals to be themselves.
